Overview
If so, you could start off your career supporting the admin team within the Diabetes & Endocrinology department, working whilst studying for an apprenticeship. This exciting post will allow the successful candidate to gain experience and knowledge in a wide range of activities. The post holder will assist with typing, booking patient appointments, and administration tasks which will include dealing with telephone enquiries, filing and general office duties, in order to ensure our clinics run smoothly, Your time will be split between our admin teams in Diabetes, Endocrinology, and the Clinical Investigation Unit. The post holder will be expected to contribute to the provision of the highest standards of patient care. You will provide high quality secretarial support to the department.
Responsibilities and Skills
You will have excellent communication skills and will need confidence when dealing with service users over the telephone and face-to-face. You will handle patient information on a daily basis, so you will be expected to have a high level of accuracy and confidentiality. You will need good data entry and IT skills. You will be able to prioritise your workload and work on the departmental database systems. Being a good team player is a must, and you will uphold the Trust's PRIDE values.
