You will be pivotal in running a unit, responsible for all clinical duties such as observation, medication management, reviewing care plans, and accurate record keeping. Your clinical expertise will be crucial in fulfilling all CQC responsibilities. You should have completed or be working towards an NVQ3 in care. We are happy to support you in completing your qualification if needed.
Upon starting, you will receive a thorough induction, followed by ongoing training and development, including access to apprenticeships and our online portal with various resources for personal development. You will also have free access to LinkedIn's online learning platform.
Your Responsibilities
* Day-to-day management of a care unit
* Carrying out all clinical duties, including issuing medication, reviewing care plans, and maintaining accurate records
* Leading and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsibility for shift handovers
* Training and supervising new staff members to ensure they feel welcomed and supported
* Building relationships with residents, their families, and external healthcare teams such as GPs and District Nurses
* Assisting residents with personal care duties
* Completing a DBS check as part of the recruitment process; Bupa will cover the cost (£40)
