As part of their continued growth, theyre looking to appoint a Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial delivery of this long-term, multi-phase scheme. This is a high-profile project involving a significant number of units, with a mixture of houses and low-rise apartments. Youll be leading the commercial team, overseeing the financial control and contract administration throughout the lifecycle of the project. What youll be doing: Taking full commercial responsibility for the project, from procurement to final account Managing and mentoring a team of Quantity Surveyors Working closely with project and site teams to ensure cost control, risk management and accurate reporting Overseeing subcontractor packages, payments, valuations, and variations Driving value engineering opportunities and ensuring cost-effective solutions Supporting monthly CVRs and forecasting, reporting directly to the Commercial Director Ensuring contractual obligations are met across the project What we're looking for: A proven background as a Senior or Managing QS within the construction sector, ideally on housing-led schemes Experience managing large-scale projects and teams A strong understanding of JCT contracts and housing association frameworks Commercially focused with excellent negotiation and communication skills Able to balance site demands with strategic oversight and reporting Confident, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a senior leadership team Why apply?
