Lancashire Constabulary is looking for a Digital Forensics Examiner to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the movement of exhibits within the Digital Forensics Unit Lab, ensuring that exhibits are managed in accordance with policy and procedure.
* Undertake the forensic examination of computers, Mobile Devices, and any other related digital devices using a plethora of validated forensic software and hardware.
* Perform advanced, specialist and bespoke recovery and acquisition from digital devices including chip removal and recovery of data from damaged/destroyed devices.
* Dismantling and reassembling of digital equipment required for forensic examination.
* Complete the forensic imaging, including the verification, hashing, and processing of data from digital devices.

Skills And Experience
* Recognised qualification in ICT/Computer/Digital related field (NVQ Level 3, A-Level, National Diploma, or above/equivalent) or extensive workplace experience as a practitioner within Digital Forensics.
Vetting And Medical
As a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Management Vetting (MV). A minimum 5 year UK residency is required for Management Vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment. Upon successful appointment as per the job specification, you will be required to provide your DNA for elimination purposes, which will be held against the Contamination Elimination Database (CED). Candidates successful at shortlisting will be required to undertake an assessment as part of the interview process. This will consist of a digital aptitude test.
