The role
We are working with a large, academically focused secondary school to recruit a Cover Supervisor to provide classroom supervision during teacher absences. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced support staff looking to gain further secondary school experience.
You’ll ensure lessons run smoothly, manage behaviour, and support learning in line with school policies.

Key responsibilities
6. Supervise classes during teacher absence across KS3–KS5
7. Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions
8. Maintain a calm, focused learning environment
9. Manage pupil behaviour in line with school policies
10. Liaise with teaching and pastoral staff as needed
The ideal candidate
11. Confident working with secondary-aged students
12. Professional, reliable, and adaptable
13. Strong classroom management and communication skills
14. Previous school experience is desirable but not essential
15. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
