Fire Watcher
Location: Hinkley Point
Contract :6 Months fixed contract

Advanced Resource Manager is proud to be partnering with the UK?s largest steel fabricator on the prestigious Hinkley Point Cproject. We are currently seeking an experienced and safety-focused Fire Watcher to join the team.
Role Overview:
As a Fire Watcher, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of hot work activities by monitoring for potential fire hazards and responding immediately to any signs of danger. This is a critical role in maintaining a safe work environment on one of the UK?s most high-profile infrastructure projects.
Main Duties:
1. Watch for fire hazards in the workplace while hot work is performed by other employees.
2. Maintain the conditions and requirements stated on the Hot Work Permit.
3. Keep flammable materials away from ignition sources.
4. In the event of fire, extinguish it (if safe to do so) or activate a fire alarm.
5. Call the emergency alarm number when necessary.
6. Be aware of the exact location of firefighting equipment in the immediate area.
7. Maintain constant means of communication.
8. Keep visual and voice contact with other employees as much as possible.
9. Inspect the entire work area before and during each shift, looking for potential risks.
10. Be prepared to operate fire extinguishers if trained to do so.
Requirements:
11. Previous experience as a Fire Watcher or in a similar safety role
12. Valid Fire Watch or hot works safety certification (preferred)
13. Strong awareness of construction site safety protocols
14. Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods
15. Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team
Qualifications :
16. UK Accredited Firewatcher Course
17. ECITB CCNSG 2 Day Safety Passport
Desirable
18. NVQ Level 2 in Construction Operations - Skilled Worker
