We are looking to strengthen our Construction team with Electrical Site Supervisors based within the Central Belt and North East (Aberdeen to Dundee) area for Scottish Water.
You will report directly to the M & E Manager/Lead Site Supervisor, and your role will supervise and control all electrical site activities in the most efficient manner, to the specification and within the contract time, without risk to health and safety, and providing a quality end product, ensuring a quality installation as work progresses.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Supervision of site electrical installations
2. Ensuring SHE standards are maintained and safe systems of work are adhered to
3. Ensuring high-quality products are produced in line with current standards and specifications
4. Verification of new electrical systems
5. Safe isolation of LV electrical systems
6. Monitoring supply chain performance and programme
7. Reviewing and monitoring supplier inspection and test plans
8. Attending site inductions and toolbox talks
9. Supporting commissioning activities where required
10. Participating in collaborative planning meetings and developing site delivery programmes
11. As Electrical Appointed Person, ensuring electrical safety rules are followed and documentation is produced in line with CMDP electrical safety rules
12. Carrying out electrical isolations
13. Conducting regular electrical safety inspections on equipment
14. Holding 121 meetings with supply chain supervisors and ensuring take 5s are carried out
15. Assisting with project takeover documentation
16. Overseeing electrical testing in line with BS7671, reviewing test results
17. Issuing limitation of access permits
18. Maintaining a daily diary of site activities
Qualification Requirements:
* SSSTS or SMSTS – Required
* Appointed Person Status - Required
* FAAW - Required
* ECS card - Required
* C&G 2330 or 2360 in electrical installations – Required
* NVQ Level 3 in electrical installations – Required
* IEE 18th edition wiring regs – Required
* 2391 Test and Inspect – Preferred
* Previous experience in a similar role is essential
