Job Description
* We are seeking a professional and reliable Security Officer to join our team in Barry, United Kingdom. As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors.
* Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring only authorised personnel are admitted
* Conduct regular patrols and inspections to deter and detect suspicious activity
* Respond swiftly and decisively to alarms and emergencies, maintaining a calm and professional demeanour
* Provide excellent customer service whilst maintaining a strong security presence
* Compose clear, accurate incident reports and maintain detailed security logs
* Operate security systems and surveillance equipment as required
* Ensure compliance with site-specific procedures and protocols
* Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
* Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance security skills and knowledge
Qualifications
* Valid SIA licence
* First Aid certification
* Excellent command of English, both written and verbal
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in the security industry
* Right to work in the UK
* 5-year checkable work history
* Willingness to undertake fire safety course provided by the company
* Ability to commute to Bridgend, United Kingdom
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Customer-focused approach with a commitment to exemplary service
* Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
* Thorough knowledge of security protocols and emergency procedures
* Resilient and decisive nature, with the ability to remain calm under pressure
* Proficiency in operating security systems and surveillance equipment
