Warehouse Operative — Dispatch Team We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our dedicated hire operations team. In this role, you will play a key part in preparing hire equipment for dispatch — ensuring everything is clean, complete, safe, and ready to reach our customers. What You’ll Do * Prepare hire items for dispatch by checking their condition, cleanliness, and functionality. * Fit necessary accessories and components to main units according to job or customer specifications. * Assemble part-build kits when required — verifying all components are included and properly secured. * Pick and pack hire orders accurately, based on dispatch notes or system-generated lists. * Perform quality checks on all outgoing items to ensure they meet safety, cleanliness, and operational standards. * Work closely with the hire desk, drivers, and other warehouse colleagues to coordinate timely and accurate dispatch. * Label equipment and complete all required paperwork or system entries. * Maintain a tidy, organised, and safe working area at all times. * Adhere to all health & safety procedures and contribute to a positive safety culture. * Assist with general warehouse tasks such as goods-in, stock rotation, and other duties as required. What We’re Looking For * Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is essential. * Supervisory or team-lead experience is a plus (but not required). * Forklift truck licence is advantageous — though full training will be provided. * Experience or qualification in warehouse operations, supply-chain, or logistics (e.g. IOSCM) is welcome but not mandatory. * Good communication skills — able to liaise with other departments and colleagues via email, calls or Teams. * Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads to meet dispatch deadlines. * A strong eye for detail, high standards of accuracy, and a commitment to safety.
