Job Description
To assist with the promotion, delivery, and integration of the key objectives outlined in the Health and Social Care Partnerships Plan and the Community Plan, Day Services Assistants will provide consistent, high-quality care support to adults with learning disabilities or multiple needs requiring physical care. They will facilitate opportunities for meaningful activities within the community, including social, recreational, leisure, developmental activities, and supported employment.
Requirements
The role involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants must become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member for Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update, before any formal employment offer is made by East Ayrshire Council.
Note: PVG records are continually updated. Any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment confirmation.

In accordance with Safer Recruitment guidelines, applicants should provide details of at least two relevant references, including one from their current or most recent employer. This reference must be from an appropriate senior manager and not from a peer at the same level.
Additional Information
This is a permanent part-time position based at Sir Alexander Fleming Centre, Kilmarnock.
Work Pattern: Monday to Friday, 30 hours across 5 days, with core hours between 8 am and 5 pm.
Annual Salary: £22,246 - £23,290
The work style is fixed, with 80-100% of time spent at a single office location.
You will work at your administrative base or another agreed location, typically 4 to 5 days per week.
