Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Children's Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential service. This role requires a compassionate and resilient leader who is committed to delivering high-quality care for children and young people, many of whom may have complex needs. The ideal candidate will have strong management skills, safeguarding expertise, and the ability to inspire a team to provide safe, nurturing, and child-focused care.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day leadership and management of the home.
* Supervise, support, and motivate staff, fostering a positive team culture.
* Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring children's safety and well-being at all times.
* Oversee individual care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies.
* Ensure compliance with Ofsted, the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards.
* Build strong partnerships with families, healthcare, education providers, and external agencies.
* Monitor care quality, staff performance, and service delivery, implementing improvements where needed.
* Manage record-keeping, reporting, and financial oversight of the home.
* Provide leadership, training, and professional development opportunities for staff.
Requirements
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or a higher level).
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a residential childcare setting.
* At least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role within children's services.
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with children, families, and professionals.
* (Desirable) Experience with therapeutic approaches (PACE, Secure Base, trauma-informed care).
* (Desirable) Full UK driving licence.

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
