This is an exciting opportunity has arisen for 1.0WTE permanent post within the Outpatient and Associated Services Directorate as a Project Assistant.
We are looking for a highly motivated Project Assistant who is interested in helping to deliver the highest standard of administration and technical support to the Programme Manager and the Outpatient Redesign Team.
You will play a supporting role in the delivery of key modernisation and quality improvement projects across a number of key specialties. The role requires close and effective working with a wide range of colleagues from primary and secondary care, therefore effective communication and stakeholder management skills are required.
Applications are invited from candidates with a strong background in administration and demonstrable skills of delivering project supports tasks. The role would suit applicants who may wish to pursue a career in project management.
The postholder will be responsible for general office management across External Providers Office and the Outpatient Redesign Team.
Educated to HNC level for Business administration/ Office Management/ Secretarial Studies or equivalent experience.
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software and a working knowledge of intranet / web application editing software.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Effective interpersonal, organisational, communication and decision-making skills.
Ability to work both as part of a team and use own initiative when required.
Provide a high level of attention to detail and the ability to get things done.
The post requires the successful post holder to complete a standard Disclosure Scotland check.
This role is based within Outpatient and Associated Services at Woodlands House at Astley Ainslie Hospital; however, the flexibility is required to work across sites if required. Hybrid working opportunities may be considered once local induction is successfully completed, however this must suit the demands of the service/role.
