The role & about the client:
We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager / Project Surveyor to join our growing team in our clients brand-new New Forest office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with high standards, strong technical ability, and a keen eye for detail to play a key role in delivering high-quality construction projects.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Planning, coordinating and overseeing all project stages
* Managing building contracts, ensuring full compliance and issuing necessary notices (payments, delays, instructions, etc.)
* Monitoring performance to ensure projects meet specification, programme, budget and quality targets
* Procuring and appointing contractors and suppliers, maintaining strong working relationships
* Ensuring health & safety compliance across all sites
* Reviewing costs, valuations and issuing variations and contract instructions
* Preparing tender documentation, evaluating returns and reporting
* Attending site meetings and providing clients with clear updates on progress and costs
* Supporting cost planning and value engineering activities
The ideal candidate will have
* Proven experience managing construction projects (residential, commercial or education preferred)
* Experience delivering projects from concept through to completion
* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
* Solid understanding of CDM, Building Regulations and construction processes
* Excellent client-facing and communication skills
* MRICS qualification preferred but not essential
