Are you passionate about empowering children and young people to shape the services that affect their lives?
Were looking for a Voice and Influence Worker to join a dynamic team in Rotherham. This is a 3+ month contract, working full-time from the office, where youll play a key role in ensuring the voices of children in care and care leavers are heard, respected, and acted upon.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate inclusive group work and 1:1 sessions that help children express their views.
Advocate for Children in Care and Care Leavers, ensuring their voices influence decisions.
Lead youth-led initiatives such as the Youth Cabinet, Young Inspectors, and consultation events.
Support co-production of policies, campaigns, and strategies with young people.
Represent childrens voices in senior forums, including the Corporate Parenting Partnership Board.
Build strong relationships with professionals, parents, and carers to embed the voice of the child in planning and service delivery.
Promote awareness of youth-led campaigns at local, regional, and national levels.
Maintain accurate records and manage budgets in line with RMBC policy.
What Were Looking For:
Experience as a Family Support Worker or similar role working directly with children and families.
Confidence in planning, risk assessing, and facilitating group work.
Strong understanding of advocacy, co-production, and inclusive practice.
Creativity in capturing and presenting childrens views.
A genuine passion for improving outcomes for looked-after children and young people.
