Job Description
3. Exciting opportunity for a client services director to work alongside existing directors in a modern office environment with a small, but growing team.
4. Taking over an existing portfolio varied SME and personal tax portfolio and seeking to build from that base if desired.
5. Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients
6. Joint responsibility for managing the team with potential to grow the team over time.
7. Develop, retain and motivate junior members of staff and assist in the management of the team on a day-to-day basis
8. Lead, mentor, and act as role model for junior team members
9. Proactively monitor and help to resolve people issues, provide constructive input to colleagues, identify and act upon own and team training and development needs, provide support to career planning of team members
10. Proactive management of budgets, fees targets, WIP and debtors
11. Advising on an array of practice queries when necessary
12. Act as main points of contact within the office for clients, keeping them informed of progress in relation to all aspects of service delivery and maintaining regular contact with them
13. Review work completed by junior team members and resolving all issues
14. Ability to multi-task and complete assignments within time constraints and set deadlines
15. Working and liaising with colleagues in other offices/departments as necessary to provide high quality client service
16. Knowledgeable of the firm's services and able to cross-sell those services into the client base
The Successful Applicant
17. ACCA/ACA qualified or equivalent
18. Have proven experience of working in a practice environment
19. Experience in managing a client portfolio
20. Have a proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong client relationships
21. Have a proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering client solutions
22. Be a motivated individual and able to work alone or as part of a team
23. The ability to take responsibility and use own initiative to resolve problems and issues
24. Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and clients at all levels
25. Strong organisation and planning skills and attention to detail
26. The ability to positively embrace changes and new challenges
