We are #DifferenceMakers and we are looking for a Graduate Transport Planner/Economist to join our Transport Planning & Advisory Team in Manchester as part of the November 2026 cohort of our Early Careers Graduate Scheme.
What does the role involve?
* Collect, analyse and appraise data related to transport systems, including traffic patterns, public transport usage and economic impacts.
* Provide day‑to‑day technical input as part of a team of consultants.
* Produce clear, well‑reasoned and persuasive reports that effectively interpret data and other evidence, ensuring findings are communicated effectively to stakeholders.
* Ensure outputs are completed in accordance with the scope of works, timescales and budgets.
* Work in close collaboration with colleagues from other disciplines to deliver project requirements and added value to the client.
* Engage with the Transport Planning Society’s Professional Development Scheme to progress towards becoming a Chartered Transport Planning Professional.
Who are we looking for?
* Possess a degree relevant to the role.
* Have less than 12 months of relevant work experience (excluding placements).
* Be confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
* Be driven, proactive and solution‑oriented.
* Be able to work in the UK without restrictions, either now or in the future.

We hold an assessment centre in January/February 2026. All applicants will be contacted regardless of the outcome. We provide feedback to all attendees of interviews or assessment centres but are unable to offer personal feedback at the application stage.
