Overview
Due to continued growth and success, PB Forestry and Landscaping are seeking an experienced and motivated Project/Planning Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning calendars, workforce availability and equipment requirements for multiple projects.
Overseeing various projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage teams effectively and drive project success.
Projects vary - highways, railway, waterway, construction, energy, forest, landscaping, sport, hydroseeding and more Ranging from small works to major multi-million-pound projects.
Duties
* This will (mainly) be an office-based role working with the management and project management teams at head office, planning works and scheduling
* Gather requirements from colleagues in the sales and planning teams to ensure project objectives align with business needs
* Planning the workforce timetables based on location, skills required for each project, equipment required - we run various projects, of various types simultaneously
* Manage time effectively to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
* Ability to liaise with clients and customers with real time updates, discuss progress and any issues faced
* Liaise with colleagues and shareholders on progress and problems with projects, offer solutions and contingencies to ensure timescales and costs are me

Requirements
* Experience of planning and running multiple projects
* Proven experience in supervising teams and managing projects successfully.
* Strong skills in requirements gathering and documentation.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills are essential.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities with effective communication skills.
* A background in project/planning management will be beneficial.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
