Location: Portsmouth Naval Base - Onsite only
Salary: Up to £41,500 (dependent on skills and experience)
What you'll be doing:
* Be part of the team delivering T45 PIPKeep and future operational support to the Royal Navy.
* Oversee the completion of daily ship-keeping duties and keep alive system requirements.
* Manage system isolations, considering broader operational impacts and potential service disruptions.
* Drive continuous process improvements and performance metrics to enhance workplace safety and operational efficiency.
* Support line management in daily team operations, including meetings, team deployment, and technical guidance.
Your skills and experiences:
* Electro-mechanical and technical experience with an understanding of ship systems and equipment, including reading technical drawings and work instructions.
* Experience as a permit issuer/controller/authorised person (detailed understanding of BRd167).
* Royal Navy Leading Hand Engineering Technician or civilian equivalent qualification.
* Thorough knowledge of all SSoW, processes, electrical safety, and testing.
* Experience using digital tools and MS365 applications (Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

The Ship Service Technicians team:
This team provides around-the-clock support to vessels, enabling Royal Navy crews to redeploy. Supported by a team manager, senior technicians, and up to 20 technicians, the team ensures adherence to safety systems and manages activities to meet delivery, cost, and quality standards.
