Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation are maintained at all times. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the culinary direction of our establishment while managing a talented team of kitchen staff.

Duties

* Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including cooks and kitchen assistants, fostering a positive and productive working environment
* Plan and develop innovative menus that align with the restaurant's concept and customer preferences
* Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence
* Manage food production processes, ensuring efficiency and adherence to food safety standards
* Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory to minimise waste and control costs
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment
* Train staff on proper food handling techniques, hygiene practices, and service standards
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods
* Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area in accordance with industry standards

Experience

* Proven supervisory experience in a professional kitchen setting, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality environment
* Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques
* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
* Experience in menu planning, food production management, and maintaining high-quality standards
* Previous experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment is highly desirable
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure while maintaining attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £27,070.40-£39,709.02 per year
