Overview
At Active Vetcare Tilehurst in Reading, we are looking for a Senior Veterinary Surgeon to become part of our supportive, clinically driven team where we are passionate about supporting development, interests and wellbeing.
The role is 40 hours per week. No OOH. This position is located in Tilehurst, Reading and is commutable from Pangbourne, Thatcham, Newbury, Wallingford, Basingstoke, Wokingham, Bracknell, Henley-on-Thames, Maidenhead and surrounding areas in Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
Responsibilities
* Support our veterinary team alongside the clinical director
* Teach and get involved in supporting our new graduates, Surrey student teaching and Schedule 3 nursing
* Collaborate with a team of 6 vets with a range of experience and interests; contribute to clinical discussions and training
* Support the team in maintaining high clinical standards; participate in monthly vet team meetings, in-house practical training and whole practice meetings
* Utilise and promote Schedule 3 skills and optimise nursing contributions
* Participate in wellbeing initiatives and contribute to a positive work environment
* Contribute to ongoing clinical development and case discussions through a busy caseload

Qualifications and experience
* Experience as a veterinary surgeon with an interest in teaching and supporting graduates
* Willingness to be involved in student teaching and Schedule 3 nursing
* Commitment to high clinical standards and team collaboration
