About the Role:
One of my local government clients is looking for a dedicated Legal Administrator to join their Child Care Legal Team on a temporary full-time basis.
This is a fantastic short-term opportunity for someone with a strong administrative background, ideally within a legal or public sector setting. You’ll play a key role in supporting solicitors and legal assistants, ensuring smooth running of daily operations and legal processes.
Main Purpose of the Job:
To provide reliable and efficient clerical and administrative support to the Child Care Team, as well as the wider Legal Services division when required.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the renewal process for interim orders in Care Proceedings, under solicitor supervision.
*
Prepare, collate, and produce Court bundles for legal proceedings and arrange delivery to Court if necessary.
*
Draft letters, handle telephone enquiries, and prioritise communication based on urgency.
*
Maintain electronic and paper diaries for legal professionals.
*
Accurately record case-specific documentation and time worked using the Iken Case Management System.
*
Manage routine office administration including filing, photocopying, data entry, and cheque requests.
*
Assist with the organisation of meetings, maintain accurate records, and manage visitors and enquiries professionally.
*
Support the team in maintaining effective office procedures and contribute to ongoing system improvements.
Key Requirements:
*
Strong administrative skills, ideally in a legal or public sector environment.
*
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive documents.
*
Confident using case management systems (experience with Iken is an advantage).
*
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
*
Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently under supervision.
