Our client, a leading healthcare organisation, is seeking a Temporary Payroll Manager to join their team. As the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for managing payroll processes across the organisation and ensuring compliance with tax and pension regulations. This is a short-term contract for a duration of up to 12 weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
2. Generate employee payments and associated documentation
3. Process updates to payroll data
4. Manage pension and tax requirements
5. Handle queries related to employee payments
6. Maintain an accurate organisational structure within the Payroll System
7. Communicate changes in legislation across the organisation
8. Ensure payroll information is reflected correctly in the financial systems
9. Complete ONS surveys
10. Reconcile P&L and Balance Sheet accounts related to Payroll
11. Continually improve processes for increased efficiency
12. Assist with ad hoc tasks as requested by the Finance Director
13. Provide cover within the Finance Team as needed
14. Support external audits as required
Skills & Experience:
15. Excellent attention to detail
16. Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team
17. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
18. Proactive in investigating and resolving issues
19. Adaptable to change while maintaining focus on business goals
20. Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage queries
21. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
22. Proficiency in MS Office Applications
23. Knowledge of systems such as SAGE, NetSuite, and Xero preferred
24. Part-qualified accountant is a plus
25. Familiarity with PeoplePlanner software is advantageous
