Overview
Are you a passionate and resilient SEND Teacher ready to make a real difference in the lives of young people? Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a full-time skilled and dedicated teacher to join a specialist school in Middlesbrough, starting immediately. The school has young children aged 4 -11, with a diagnosis of autism and who may also have a range of complex learning needs, communication and sensory difficulties. The role is for two terms with a view to be extended.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet individual needs
* Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
* Work closely with support staff and multi-agency teams
* Use trauma-informed and behaviour management strategies effectively
* Monitor and track student progress, adjusting plans as necessary
The ideal candidate will have
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
* Experience teaching pupils with ASD, SEMH and additional needs
* Strong behaviour management skills
* A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach
* A genuine desire to support vulnerable learners
