This is your chance to open and lead a brand-new 3-bed children’s home in Leicestershire, due to launch in August.
If you’re an experienced leader looking to take full ownership of a new service from setup through to Ofsted registration and beyond—this is it.
⭐ Your Role as Registered Manager You’ll take the reins from day one—guiding setup, registering the home, and creating a warm, therapeutic environment where children can heal, grow, and thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead recruitment and development of a brand-new care team
2. Oversee registration and regulatory compliance (Ofsted, safeguarding, etc.)
3. Deliver outstanding residential care in line with individualised care plans
4. Build strong links with local authorities, professionals, and families
5. Manage home budgets and ensure financial and operational excellence
6. Drive continuous improvement and a positive team culture
✅ What You’ll Bring We’re seeking a committed and passionate leader with:
7. 3+ years’ experience in a senior role within children’s residential care
8. Level 4 Children & Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent)
9. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or working towards)
10. Full UK driving licence
11. Strong knowledge of safeguarding, compliance, and trauma-informed care
12. Confidence to manage people, processes, and challenges in a start-up environment
