Your role
1. Provide a hands-on, high-quality support service
2. Support customers with learning disabilities to build independence and reach their potential
3. Encourage daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and community involvement
4. Promote social inclusion and help customers develop confidence, resilience and self-esteem
5. Work with agencies on behalf of customers, encouraging choice and acting as an advocate when needed
6. Maintain a safe environment and follow relevant regulations and practices
Your skills
7. Caring, approachable nature
8. Ability to keep accurate records and share information clearly with the team
9. Excellent communication skills to build positive relationships with customers, families and agencies
10. Experience working effectively as part of a team
11. Positive and accepting approach to customers whatever their needs
12. NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it
13. Proficient technology/IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar)
