Dermatology General Practitioner with Special Interests

CommunityDermatology Service, Sunderland - 1 Session per week.
The CommunityDermatology service, based at Bunny Hill Primary Care Centre, is looking for anexperienced General Practitioner, with a Special Interest in dermatology, tojoin our friendly, forward-thinking team. Our team consists of well-establishedGPSWIS, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Surgical Nurse Practitioners, andSpecialist nurses supported by a team of Health Care Assistants andAdministrators. The service offers local, high-quality treatment for a range ofgeneral dermatological conditions, including lesion recognition and minorsurgery, in a community setting, providing care closer to home. A Single Pointof access plays an important part, determining through a robust triage system,that patients are seen by the right practitioner, at the right time and in theright place, working closely with our secondary care colleagues for directonward referral, where necessary. Main duties of the job
The post holderwill have a wide experience in assessing and treating patients with a widerange of dermatological conditions.
They will beexpected to have completed accredited dermatology diploma and ideally wouldhave surgical skills.
They will haveproven interpersonal and communication skills and work well within a team,evidence of clinical leadership and able to manage their own case load, workingwithin agreed policies and procedures, relevant to the role.

Job responsibilities
Dermatology GP with Special Interest - 1 Session Per Week ( 4 hours 10 Minutes)£278.93 per session.
The post holder will undertake new and follow up consultations of patients referred intothe community Dermatology service via a Single Point of Access. This will includediagnosis of the full range of dermatology conditions and initiating medical and surgicaltreatments in a community based clinic.

Qualifications
* MBBS or equivalent
