Supply Chain Manager
We are delighted to be working with a long-standing dynamic client of ours who are looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager. Reporting to the Head of Compliance & Operations, this will be a pivotal role which will look to enhance operational effectiveness across the organisation.
You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring that products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards whilst leading a team of supply chain professionals. A key focus of this role will be ensuring to develop a training program to ensure staff members are proficient in using the Sage X3 (ERP) system
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight:
* Oversee daily operations of logistics and warehouse management
* Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
* Identify opportunities for automation within operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
Strategic Planning:
* Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance logistics and warehouse operations
* Collaborate with other departments (e.g., procurement, sales, and production) to align supply chain objectives with business goals.
Process Optimisation:
* Identify and implement best practices in logistics and warehouse management
* Work alongside the Senior Operations Manager to improve processes across other operational teams.
Budget Management:
* Develop and manage budgets for logistics and warehouse operations, ensuring effective allocation of resources and cost control.
Supplier Management:
* Establish and improve supplier selection and supplier code of conduct to ensure it is understood and implemented across all levels of supply chain
* Work with the Compliance team to complete due diligence on suppliers to verify their adherence to the code of conduct.
Logistics and Warehouse Management:
* Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of logistics and supply chain activities, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
* Support the Logistics Manager with export controls, third-party logistics providers, ensuring service quality and compliance
Leadership & Management:
* Lead, mentor, and develop Managers across logistics, warehouse and project management
* Establish key performance indicators (KPIs)
Regulatory Compliance:
* Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and statutory requirements across operational areas. Participate in management meetings, audits, SWOT, and training sessions.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
* Operations Management and or Supply Chain experience
* Experience in of working within supply chain management, logistics, and compliance, with a focus on export control.
* Sage 3 ERP system
* Strong knowledge of export control regulations and customs procedures.
* Proven experience in managing logistics operations and working with third-party providers.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
* Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
* Performance management
* Knowledge of Legal, Regulatory and Statutory requirements
