M L Stainless Fabrications Limited manufactures bespoke fabrications for the catering and food service industry. We are based in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom, conveniently located just 5 minutes from the M62 motorway network. Our company is dedicated to delivering high-quality, custom fabrications that meet the unique needs of our clients.
What we offer
We offer a clean working environment with a good rate of hourly pay; 25 days holiday, plus 8 days public holidays, and a 38-hour working week over 4-days. We have two shift patterns over 4-days with the option to either work 6:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Thursday, or 7:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Thursday. The benefit of a 4-day week means that a weeks holiday only takes 4 days off your holiday allowance and not 5-days. We have a 15-minute paid morning break and an unpaid lunchbreak of 30-minutes from 12:30pm to 1:00pm.
Overtime is currently available on Fridays and Saturdays, with the same starting time options. Finish times during overtime is usually flexible. Due to the nature of the industry we serve our work is clean and relatively lightweight. Casual corporate workwear and safety footwear is provided.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Skilled Sheet Metal Worker / Fabricator located in Cleckheaton. The role involves working with hand tools, CNC & conventional metalworking equipment to fabricate and assemble custom stainless steel products for the catering and food service sector. The successful applicant will perform tasks such as welding, cutting, shaping, and assembling stainless steel sheet and tube to create bespoke items. Adherence to safety standards and quality control measures is essential in this position.
Responsibilities
* Read drawings.
* Marking out.
* TIG welding stainless steel ranging from 1.2mm to 2mm.
* Time served with preference given to City & Guilds or BTEC (or equivalent) qualified persons.
* Strong problem-solving skills, flexible, able to work as part of a team and an ability to work independently.
* Metal finishing and polishing experience.
* Ability to operate a CNC Press Brake. (Training will be given).
* Ability to use AutoCAD or similar CAD package to generate DXF profiles for processing. (Training can be given)
* Ability and experience of CNC Laser operation, using Cypcut software. (Training can be given)
* Counterbalance forklift truck licence.
