Introduction to the Role
The Business Analyst performs business analysis and design to support global OMP detailed scheduling deployment. They may deliver business change activities independently or as part of a team, demonstrating high levels of communication, inclusion, and cultural sensitivity. The role involves delivering high-quality process designs and ensuring solutions meet AstraZeneca's standards and business needs. The Business Analyst also contributes to internal IT practices for business analysis and design.
Accountabilities
* Understand and prioritize business requirements, seeking opportunities for improvement aligned with strategic goals.
* Simplify and interpret requirements for analysis, solution design, and decision-making, communicating impacts, costs, and benefits effectively.
* Provide insights and innovation within their specialist area, aligning with AZ IT strategy.
* Collaborate with business and IT partners to propose and deliver solutions that meet strategic needs, including investment justification.
* Identify capabilities required with colleagues across functions to ensure clear understanding and delivery of requirements.
* Lead design sessions to identify functional and technical requirements.
* Define project scope and goals for small projects, including planning, coordination, and delivery.
* Manage activities for small projects or segments of larger projects, ensuring timely delivery.
* Analyze and report data trends for informed decision-making.
* Communicate with stakeholders and facilitate knowledge transfer to delivery teams.
* Support service tracking, issue resolution, and capture customer feedback for improvements.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Experience with supply and production planning processes, especially in process industries.
* Experience with Detailed Scheduling tools like SAP PPPI, SAP APO PP/DS, OMP.
* Knowledge of SAP Recipes, BOMs, Production Versions, and scheduling parameters.
* Proven ability to deploy business analysis tools/techniques effectively.
* Experience working with complex systems, demonstrating creative and critical thinking.
* Strong communication, engagement, and influencing skills.
* Experience in regulated environments (GXP, SOX).
* Experience with virtual collaboration and leading innovative solutions.
* Mentoring or coaching experience.
* Experience managing third-party vendors.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Experience deploying APS solutions, especially OMP.
* Experience with manufacturing execution systems and SAP integration.
* Relevant degree or certifications in business analysis.
* Practical experience with Agile methodologies.
* Experience in global organizations with complex geographical contexts.
* Knowledge of pharmaceutical business domain.
* Cross-industry business awareness.
* User-Centered Design expertise.
