Overview
Senior Land Quality and Remediation Consultant. You will work across a number of industrial sectors, delivering strategic subject matter expert advice and innovative geo-environmental solutions to ensure projects and clients comply with environmental liabilities. Your remit will include:
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement strategies for land quality assessment and remediation.
* Deliver remediation strategies (excavation, soil treatment, capping layers, gas protection).
* Support the implementation of ground investigations and geo-environmental assessments to evaluate land contamination and environmental risks.
* Support geo-environmental assessments.
* Undertake Quantitative Risk Assessments.
* Design remediation strategies (excavation, soil treatment, capping layers, gas protection).
* Ensure compliance with UK planning, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
* Produce validation reports to discharge planning conditions.
* Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior consultants and team members.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related field.
* Demonstrable experience in geo-environmental consultancy.
* A proven track record in supporting industrial sector projects across the full project lifecycle.
* Sound understanding of Detailed Quantitative Risk Assessment approaches.
* Excellent understanding of environmental legislation and risk assessment methodologies (including UK and international site evaluation and due diligence standards such as ASTM).
* Good understanding of emerging contaminants such as PFAS.
* Digital data assessment expertise.
