Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Lead to oversee daily operations within our warehouse. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid background in warehouse management. This role involves coordinating the activities of warehouse staff, ensuring efficient materials handling, and maintaining a safe working environment. The Warehouse Lead will play a crucial role in optimising processes related to shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
* Oversee the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
* Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory levels and manage stock movements.
* Conduct regular training sessions for staff on safety protocols and operational procedures.
* Perform materials handling tasks, including heavy lifting when necessary.
* Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with other departments to coordinate shipping and receiving schedules.
* Assist in the implementation of process improvements to enhance productivity.
* Monitor equipment maintenance needs and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a warehouse environment, with prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
* Proficient in operating forklifts; certification is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control practices.
* Strong mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment is an advantage.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
* Experience in shipping and receiving processes is essential.
* Background in construction or related fields is beneficial but not mandatory.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.

Salary- Basic of £36,00 plus 7.5% shift allowance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £36,000.00-£38,700.00 per year
