Role Overview
Customer-facing Service Engineer responsible for diagnostics, servicing, and repair of construction, agricultural, industrial, and recycling equipment within the dealership territory. Deliver high standards of workmanship and world-class customer service while building strong client relationships and liaising with manufacturers.
Key Responsibilities
*
Service, maintain, and repair diesel generator sets and plant machinery
*
Conduct site surveys, installations, commissioning, and load banking
*
Perform emergency breakdown callouts
*
Control system wiring and PLC/Deep Sea/Deif programming
*
Attend product training courses
*
Work flexibly, including unsociable hours when required
Requirements
*
NVQ Level 2 (minimum) in Plant Engineering/Servicing & Maintenance
*
Mechanical/Electrical engineering background (18th Edition beneficial)
*
Experience with hydraulics, transmissions, axles, cam-bus systems, and heavy plant machinery
*
Strong diagnostic and technical skills; able to work independently
*
Professional customer-facing skills
*
Clean UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
*
Must live within 30 minutes of the depot
