Role Summary
This is a key role for the UK EPC engineering design hub, supporting colleagues in the UK and internationally.
You’ll take a Project Engineering role in the effective design of large-scale ground mount solar projects, BESS, and other technologies, working closely with the engineering team.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop BESS designs for tenders and construction (UK and international)
* Develop Solar PV designs for tenders and construction (UK and international)
* Provide system design input into strategic bids, proposals, developments, and planning applications
* Coordinate with internal resources
* Participate in monthly project meetings
* Support project teams in preparing Bills of Quantities
* Assist projects with engineering tasks, including site visits when required
* Collaborate closely with the Design Manager/Lead Project Engineer and Tendering Team
* Support the wider business by working with other UK design teams as needed
Person Specification
* Graduate from a Master’s program in engineering, ideally in Renewables
* Team player with a passion for the energy sector
* Professional engineering academic background – Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Power Systems Engineering, or similar
* Knowledge of relevant software tools such as PV Case, AutoCAD, PV Syst, PV Sol, etc.
* Keen to learn all relevant design and building standards and protocols
* Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
* Willing to attend the company's UK office regularly and travel to the UK as required; effective at working remotely
