This role is ideal for someone preparing to become anSCA Authorised Trainer (AST)or already pursuing that path, and who is committed to upholding specialty coffee standards through practical, inspiring education.
This is a full time, temporarymaternity coverrole for 1 Year, 40HR per week, flexible. Monday - Saturday.
Responsibilities
* Train new and existingwholesalepartnersto build skill, confidence, and consistency in coffee preparation.
* Deliver engaging coffee training programs(wholesale & retail)across brewing, espresso, milk texturing, sensory skills, and customer service.
* Deliver Post Training Visits that focus on evaluating training effectiveness,improving wholesalerelationshipsand consistently improving coffee quality.
* Provide 1:1 coaching and hands-on assessments to support individualslearning and development goals.
* Collaborate with theBailiesTeam to aligntrainingcontent with company standards and the SCA framework.
* Collaborate withSalesTeamto communicate& supportcustomerneedsand post training visit feedback.
* Maintainaccuratetraining records and contribute to the development of training documentation and SOPs.
* Support equipment calibration, maintenance education, and workflow optimisation acrossour wholesalelocations.
* Stay current with industry trends and SCA curriculum updates to inform training material.
* Contribute and support socialmediacampaignsandcontentforBailies Coffee/Academy.
* Uphold a strong culture of professionalism, inclusion, and excellence within the training environment.
Qualifications
* Minimum 2–3 years of experience working in specialty coffee, ideally inasenior barista role.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with differentaudiences and learning styles.
* Strong practical skills in espresso extraction, brew methods, and equipment use.
* Organised, reliable, and able to independently plan, deliver, and evaluate training programs.
* Confident in giving and receiving feedback in a constructive, professional way.
* Clear interest in professional development and specialty coffee education.
* Full Drivers License
Desirable Criteria
* Experienceofor undertakingofSCA modules (Barista Skills, Brewing, Sensory, etc.).
* Prior experience deliveringtraining or training support.
* Knowledge of health & safety and food hygiene standards related to beverage service.
