As a History Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that help students explore historical events, develop critical thinking and analytical skills, and build informed perspectives on the past. Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality History lessons in line with the national curriculum. Teach a broad range of historical topics across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. Collaborate effectively with colleagues to support departmental goals and whole-school initiatives. Promote critical thinking, debate, and independent enquiry among students. Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback. Maintain high standards of behaviour, participation, and classroom engagement. Create a stimulating, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. History Teacher Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in History. Experience teaching History in UK schools is desirable. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities. A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
