Your Role
As a Senior EHV Cost Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our future by delivering precise and tailored estimates for new Connection Projects. Your expertise will ensure that we meet client specifications while driving company growth through efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare quotations from specifications and drawings within defined timeframes.
* Conduct on-site surveys and assessments to evaluate risks and potential financial impacts.
* Explore and evaluate options or alternatives for project execution.
* Ensure accuracy and completeness of third-party documents and engineering specifications.
* Collaborate with procurement to obtain competitive quotations from sub-contractors and suppliers.
* Produce formal quotation documentation.
* Work closely with operational colleagues to ensure seamless project execution.
* Attend handover meetings to clarify project scope, estimates, and assumptions.
What We’re Looking For
* In-depth knowledge of Overhead EHV/Transmission installations, including conductors and insulators.
* Experience in estimating roles or delivery backgrounds with exposure to National Grid or DNO/IDNO/ICP connections projects.
* Formal training in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
* A proven track record in providing technical solutions and costings in electrical and civil engineering environments.
* A valid driving license.
