Join Our Team as an Estate Operative!
Job Purpose:
Become a vital part of our Estate Operative Department, where your efforts will ensure that Chelsea Creek (London SW6) remains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents. Your role will focus on waste management and the upkeep of communal areas, making a real difference in our community.
Rota:
40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 7 AM – 3:30 PM
Main Duties:
* Resolve issues while adhering to health and safety guidelines, SOPs, and Risk Assessments.
* Collaborate effectively with contractors and maintenance teams.
* Be resourceful, self-motivated, and adaptable.
* Demonstrate physical strength and capability to operate machinery and move heavy equipment.
* Work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
* Communicate clearly and effectively.
* Possess a general knowledge of machinery such as Bin Tugs, Compactors, Bailers, and Sweepers.
Specific Duties:
* Move metal/plastic bins on and off trailers.
* Clear and clean designated areas as directed by Supervisor/Management.
* Disassemble, move, and shift furniture or equipment as needed.
* Empty residential bulk waste efficiently.
* Drive the Tug (if you hold a full driving license) and inform the Development Manager.
* Wash down car parks and remove cobwebs and litter as instructed.
* Jet wash hard surfaces, car parks, main footpaths, and podiums.
* Assist in the compactor room with the bailer and compactor.
* Remove rubbish through litter picking, emptying communal bins, and cleaning surfaces.
* Sweep out block bin rooms daily to maintain cleanliness.
* Wash down block bin rooms weekly to uphold high standards.
* Unblock bin chutes as directed.
* Maintain property exteriors throughout the seasons, including using rock salt in icy conditions.
Essential Requirements:
* Previous experience in estates, cleaning, or caretaker roles.
* A full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.
