Sous Chef - Food‑Led Pub

We are a busy, food‑led pub in the heart of the New Forest looking for a passionate and reliable Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.
About the Role
* Supporting the Head Chef in the day‑to‑day running of the kitchen
* Maintaining consistently high food standards and presentation
* Assisting with menu development, prep, and service
* Upholding excellent food safety and hygiene standards
* Helping manage junior chefs and kitchen organisation
The Kitchen
* Up to 150 covers maximum
* Straight shifts only
* Kitchen opening hours: 12pm - 8pm
* Focus on quality, seasonality, and well‑executed pub food
Hours & Schedule
* Minimum 45 hours per week
* 5 days out of 7
* Overtime paid back in lieu
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior CDP
* Passion for fresh, food‑led pub cooking
* Calm, organised, and professional under pressure
* Strong teamwork and leadership skills
