Your new companyOur client, a large public sector organisation in Glasgow region, are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join their team. As a Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for surveying operational properties owned or managed by the client for an initial period of 3 months - though project lifecycle is estimated to last 3+ years.Your new roleConduct thorough surveys of existing buildings, identifying defects, assessing condition, and providing recommendations for maintenance, repair, or improvement.Collaborate with the client, design teams, and delivery teams to ensure effective project management and seamless communication.Prepare detailed reports, including cost estimates, schedules, and risk assessments.Advise on compliance with building regulations, health and safety standards, and sustainability requirements.Assist in the development of property maintenance plans and asset management strategies.What you'll need to succeedDegree in Building Surveying or related field.Membership of RICS (MRICS) is desirable but not essential.Proven experience in building surveying, ideally within the public sector.Strong knowledge of building regulations, construction methods, and property maintenance.Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.What you'll get in returnCompetitive hourly rate of £25 per hour (PAYE) and an initial 3 month contract that has a very high chance...
