Job Description
This is a key role within the Group Finance function, supporting senior leadership with consolidated financial reporting and external disclosures.Key Responsibilities:
3. Financial Reporting:Prepare Group statutory accounts under IFRS and support subsidiary accounts under FRS101Coordinate external audit processes and liaise with auditorsManage climate-related disclosures and risk registersPrepare risk register reporting and market announcements
4. Projects & Controls:Lead external financial controls audits and internal audit reportingDrive improvements in internal control frameworksDevelop fraud risk processes and support insurance and acquisition accounting
5. Management Reporting & Forecasting:Collate ESG and SECR dataSupport budgeting, re-forecasting, and analyst consensus reportingEnhance reporting processes for Board-level MI
6. Technical Centre of Excellence:Provide technical accounting support across divisionsDraft accounting memos and maintain Group policies and procedures
7. Treasury & Tax:Oversee cash flow forecasting and covenant complianceLiaise with tax advisors and review tax computations and provisions
The Successful Applicant
8. A relevant professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
9. Strong technical accounting knowledge and expertise in financial reporting.
10. IFRS knowledge
11. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
12. Proactive, analytical, and solutions-focused mindset
13. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
