Job description:
* Counterbalance/ PPT Drivers Required - Night Shifts
* Must be willing to Upskill to Reach Driver
* 6pm - 6am (Friday-Monday OR Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)
* £14.50 per hour midweek rate, £15.88 per hour for shifts that fall on weekends + OT at time and a half after 48 hours worked
* Start Date: TBC once registered
Challenge-trg Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading 3rd party logistics provider who distribute dried food goods such as cereals, crisps and beverages based from their purpose built facility in Warrington, WA3 6WA. We are looking to recruit for a number of Counterbalance/ PPT FLT Drivers to join their team on a long-term, temp to perm basis.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Counterbalance Driver, your main duties would include:
* Safe operation of a CB in a busy warehouse environment. Must be willing to Upskill to a Reach Truck Driver
* Moving both palletised and case picked goods around the warehouse, stacking goods in the correct storage bays and following stock control instructions
* Performing other warehouse tasks such as picking, packing and despatch where required
* Stacking empty pallets and checking loads are fully secure
* Performing handballing duties where necessary, to help load and unload trucks
* Operating PPT
Candidate Requirements:
We are seeking candidates who:
* Hold a valid or expired Counterbalance license/certificate (in-house license is accepted)
* Have PPT experience
* 3+ years warehouse experience
* Have their own transport to travel to work (public transport in the area is limited)
* Are hardworking, punctual and reliable
* Are willing to support with warehouse duties as required along with Reach Truck activities
Hours of Work
* 6pm-6am, Friday-Monday OR Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.
* 90 mins of paid breaks included in the shift
* 48 hours payable weekly
Pay Rate
* £14.50 per hour, midweek nights
* £15.88 per hour for any core shifts worked on a Saturday or Sunday
* Overtime is paid at time and a half after 48 hours worked (£19.21 in the week, £21.13 on Saturdays and Sundays).

Start Date and Induction
The start date for these roles is ASAP, however all candidates will be required to undertake an 8-12 hour induction prior to being able to start work. The induction is paid a week in arrears and candidates will undertake a Reach Truck assessment and a pre-employment drug and alcohol test during it.
