Joining our strong county-wide team of Inspectors and Advisers as a Secondary Phase Inspector/Adviser for a group of secondary schools in Hampshire, you will play a key role in supporting school improvement through professional support, challenging and intellectual stimulus, and collaborative working. This is a unique opportunity to influence educational practice and leadership across a diverse community of schools with high expectations of our service.
What you’ll do:
* Provide professional support to a group of secondary schools, enhancing their journey to excellence.
* Promote effective partnership and mutual challenge to raise standards.
* Work across the improvement team and with schools, supporting their curriculum development and delivery across schools, encouraging collaboration and innovation.
* Proactively lead thinking for the local authority and contribute to strategic direction in response to national and local educational agendas.
* Act as the lead for a designated subject area or cross-curricular theme, supporting the development of teaching, the curriculum and standards across Hampshire and beyond.
* Provide guidance on wider pastoral matters, helping schools develop high-quality provision.
* Build credibility and trust with teachers and school leaders across primary, secondary, and special schools.
What we’re looking for:
* An experienced and passionate education professional with a recent and successful track record in secondary school senior leadership, preferably at deputy head or headship level.
* Your capacity to contribute to the ongoing evolution of excellent learning and pedagogy.
* A deep understanding of what supports and develops leadership capacity to enable leaders to embed ambition and drive improvement in their schools.
* Your ability to inspire leaders’ confidence and provide high-quality, evidence-informed advice.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate principles of high-quality pastoral education.
* A proactive, reflective, and collaborative approach to professional development and system leadership.
* A passion for making a difference to the achievement and well-being of children and young people in our Hampshire schools.

Travel Requirements
You will be required to travel to various locations within Hampshire, and it is essential that you have a current drivers’ licence and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis.
