As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will …
* Undertake HVAC, mechanical and public health system design across a range of project sectors, including calculations, drawings and specifications.
* Prepare drawings using AutoCAD, with experience of Revit being advantageous.
* Undertake energy modelling using IES software; experience of Part L compliance, NZC assessments, overheating analysis, TM54 and BREEAM HEA04 is highly advantageous.
* Complete SAP calculations to produce domestic EPCs.
* Support project delivery from concept through to detailed design and technical coordination.
* Survey and report on mechanical systems within existing buildings.
* Monitor, report and support contract administration during construction.
* Undertake witnessing duties during project handover.
* Collaborate with clients, design team members, suppliers and contractors to deliver technically robust, efficient solutions.
* Comply with Brookbanks QA procedures and support wider departments when needed.
What we’re looking for
* Degree educated in a relevant discipline
* Strong mechanical design skills across building services
* IES and Revit experience is desirable
* Working towards chartership or Chartered
* Driving license
