The role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the UK's busiest cargo airport which also has over 4 million passengers choosing to fly from the heart of the Midlands.
To provide airside safety briefings and training to external contractors, service partners, and staff as required.
Act as a key liaison during operational disruptions or emergencies to ensure clear communication and efficient resolution.
Ensure the airside environment, including baggage docks are clean and FOD free.
Undertake aircraft marshalling as and when required using ICAO standard signals
Monitor all aircraft movements to ensure safe and efficient operations. Provide "Follow Me" guidance when required, and proactively identify, address, and document any safety-related issues in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.
Respond promptly to incidents, collect and document relevant evidence, and conduct thorough airside safety investigations. Escalate findings and reports to the Airfield Operations Duty Manager to ensure appropriate action and resolution
What will make you successful in the role?
Experience in airfield operations/safety critical environment
Experience of implementing operational procedures and processes to ensure safety at all times.
Vast Experience in carrying out in depth accident investigations.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills; ability to think in a creative and innovative manner
Ability to investigate incidents under pressure in a calm and measured manner.
People skills for influencing external service partners.
Technical skills including proficiency in Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Achieve and maintain an intermediate operations qualification.
Must be capable of obtaining CTC level security clearance.
Must hold a full UK driving license.
Must be capable of obtaining an Airside Driving Permit, including all medical requirements.
Must hold, or be capable of obtaining, a firearms license.
