NEW VACANCY (SN7214)\n\nTRAINEE SIGN FITTER / FITTERS MATE\n\nLOCATIONS:\n* SO32 (Southampton area)\n* B38 (Birmingham area)\n\nSalary: £13.00 per hour + Overtime + Training + Overtime at Time ½\n\nOur client an established company within the signage and forecourt branding industry is currently looking to recruit two motivated and practical individuals for Trainee Sign Fitter / Labourer positions. This opportunity is perfect for those looking to build a career in signage installation, with full training provided and long-term development on offer.\n\nAbout the Role:\n\nThis is a hands-on, physical role involving nationwide travel and site-based work, primarily on live fuel forecourts. Due to the nature of the sites, health and safety awareness and a solid work ethic are essential.
While prior experience in signage or installation is a plus, it's not required, just a willingness to learn and the right attitude.\nYou'll be assisting experienced signage engineers with the preparation, transportation, and installation of signs and branding materials across the UK.Key Responsibilities:\n\nSupport Signage Engineers on-site with installations, removals, and maintenance\nWork safely and responsibly on live fuel forecourts and retail sites\nLoad, unload, and prepare materials and equipment for jobs\nFollow site instructions, health & safety regulations, and company procedures\nTravel and overnight stays will be required depending on job locationsWhat We're Looking For:\n\nCandidates based close to SO32 (Southampton) or B38 (Birmingham) - proximity is crucial due to daily van pick-ups and drop-offs\nA practical, hands-on mindset with strong attention to detail\nComfortable working outdoors and at heights\nWillingness to travel and stay away when needed\nBasic understanding of tools and equipment\nDesirable but not essential: CSCS Card, IPAF, PASMA, full driving licence, the client will provide training and are happy to put successful candidates through the qualificationsWhat's on Offer:\n\n£13.00 per hour starting rate\n40 hours a week with regular overtime\nFull training and development provided\nOpportunities to gain industry standard certifications\nWork as part of a close-knit, professional teamThis is a fantastic chance to get your foot in the door with a specialist company offering long-term opportunities and a clear pathway to progression.
