We're hiring a Group Accountant to join our Group Finance function based in Edinburgh. Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career, at a global level, within a high-performing finance team in one of the world's leading fintech firms.
What you'll be doing:
You'll play a key part in our financial reporting processes while supporting the full breadth of the Group Finance team's responsibilities. This is a varied and dynamic role where you'll build your experience across month-end close, intercompany accounting, and financial analysis.
Day to day, you'll:
* Maintain accurate and complete general ledger records for Group entities
* Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities
* Reconcile and substantiate balance sheet accounts
* Assist with monthly Board reporting, including variance and performance analysis
* Monitor and review Group financial performance against budget
* Contribute to consolidated financial statements and external audit deliverables
* Calculate intercompany recharges, reconcile balances, and support compliance with transfer pricing policies
* Liaise with Group Tax and other teams on intercompany transactions
* Assist in enhancing controls and ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal policies

What we're looking for:
This role is perfect for a newly qualified accountant or someone with equivalent experience ready to step into a dynamic, commercially focused finance role.
You'll thrive in this role if you have:
* 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or audit
* Strong Excel skills (intermediate to advanced)
* Confidence managing your own workload and meeting deadlines
* Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
* A proactive and analytical mindset with a drive for quality
Bonus points if you also have:
* A professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, ICAS, ICAEW or equivalent) - or qualified by experience
* Experience preparing statutory or management accounts
* Working knowledge of IFRS and group consolidation
* Experience with finance systems such as Nav, D365 or data tools like Qlik
