End User Technology Engineer
Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council invites applications for an End User Technology Engineer to join a team that delivers research, maintenance, development, and support for the authority’s enterprise end‑user environment.
The role requires strong technical and communication skills, with experience configuring, installing, and supporting a wide range of end‑user hardware and software in a large desktop enterprise setting. The incumbent supports over 5,000 devices across more than 150 locations, including laptops, audiovisual solutions, mobile devices, and multifunction devices.
Responsibilities
* Provide research, maintenance, development, and support for the enterprise end‑user environment.
* Configure, install, and troubleshoot laptops, audiovisual, mobile, and multifunction devices.
* Maintain a high standard of security compliance, aligning with PCI, PSN, and HSCN requirements.
* Collaborate with third‑party suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
* Support the deployment and management of Microsoft technologies (Windows OS, Intune, Entra, Office 365).
Qualifications
* Experience working within a Microsoft environment, including Windows OS, Intune, Entra, and Office 365.
* Working knowledge of current audio‑visual technologies and solutions.
* Experience operating as part of a highly professional, collaborative team.
* Strong expertise in Microsoft technologies with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
* Strong working knowledge of mobile technologies, including Android, MDM solutions, and associated hardware.
* The ability to liaise effectively with third‑party suppliers and internal stakeholders.
* A proactive, self‑motivated approach with the ability to work independently in a performance‑driven environment.
* The ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritise both personal and team responsibilities effectively.
