Job Role: Field Service Engineer Location: Midlands Salary Range: £40,000 - £50,000 Our client, a leading provider of innovative packaging solutions, specialises in the manufacturing and servicing of cutting-edge equipment, ensuring production lines run smoothly and efficiently. As a Field Service Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining reputation for excellence by delivering top-notch service to valued customers. Key Responsibilities: Conduct preventative maintenance at customer sites in adherence to service contract requirements. Assist in the installation, overhaul, and retrofit of product range machines. Perform servicing and repairs on chamber machines as needed. Engage with customers to promote service contracts and aftersales products. Collaborate internally to identify opportunities for service contracts, consumables, or machine installations. Support the development of service proposals and provide technical assistance to sales/key account managers. Offer recommendations to customers based on scheduled maintenance assessments. Independently carry out maintenance operations outlined in service contract schedules. Work as part of a team on larger maintenance projects. Participate in technical training sessions and update meetings to stay current with skills. Assist lead technicians in equipment installation or modification when necessary. Qualifications : Previous experience in a similar field service role preferred. Technical aptitude with a willingness to learn and adapt. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
