Accounts Receivable Assistant Accountant
Temporary Contract -Remote position - Hours are 0900-1730

- Support the Accounts Receivable ("AR") Accountant in delivering an accurate, timely, and well-controlled receivables function.
- Process and maintain day-to-day AR transactions for both B2B and B2C customers, including billing, cash application, account reconciliations, and customer account maintenance.
- Review and validate customer billing setups and invoicing to ensure billing accuracy and compliance with agreed customer arrangements.
- Investigate and resolve account discrepancies, including mis-postings, unmatched cash, billing queries, and legacy balances, escalating issues where appropriate.
Experience
- Familiarity with accounts receivable is essential
- Familiarity with accounts receivable in a high volume - low value environment is an advantage
- General accounting experience, especially in ledger reconciliations is an advantage
Special Aptitudes
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
- A proactive interest in systems, processes, and continuous improvement
