To operate as a Family Hub support worker within the Family Hub team in an agile fashion at a variety of outreach settings (including home visiting) within a district, providing 1:1 and group support to young children and their families.
Responsibilities
1. Deliver and support the planning of high-quality, stimulating play and leisure services that support children to reach their full potential.
2. Support vulnerable children with transitions, such as starting preschool or primary school, acting as a coordinator where required.
3. Promote and encourage families to utilize the Family Hub Digital and Virtual services, along with other guidance routes.
4. Deliver targeted public health interventions with children and families where appropriate.
5. Support home learning initiatives and early education opportunities for pre-school children.
6. Conduct parenting workshops or programs for new and young parents throughout the year.
7. Ensure children and families participate in service design and delivery, incorporating co-design principles.
8. Center the lived experiences and voices of children in planning and support delivery.
9. Support families in building positive, independent networks within the community.
10. Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation and electronic systems are up to date, in accordance with policy.
11. Work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as needed to meet community needs, using Family Hub sites and outreach venues.
This position is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
As a customer-facing role, the post requires sufficient command of spoken English/Welsh to perform effectively, in line with statutory duties under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016).
